8th Annual Civil War Battle and Living History Weekend features the 150th Anniversary Bond School House Shootout

The Historic Village of Rockford and the 7th North Carolina Cavalry along with the 28th NC, 38th NC, 21st NC, 12th NC, 6th NC, 63rd NC and the 24th VA reenactors take you back in time to experience the life of a civil war soldier at the 8th Annual Battle in Rockford Reenactment.

Battle Schedule: Saturday: 11:00 and 2:00 and on Sunday: 2:00

Sunday: 10:30 Outdoor Church Service at the Rockford Amphitheater.

Homemade country ham biscuits, chicken stew, pintos and cornbread and the infamous fried apple pies available inside the store

Event is Free and open to the public.

These men put a lot of effort and time into recreating history for us all to enjoy and share in.

16th Annual Sweet Potato Festival

Saturday, September 21, 2013: From 10:00 until 5:00

Fun filled day. FREE Admission. Variety of Music to be performed all day. Crafts, Vendors, Demonstrations, Horse Back Rides, Local Authors and more

Sweet Potato Pies, Sweet Potato Sonker, Country Ham Biscuits, Chicken Stew and Pinto Beans and Cornbread
