The Historic Village of Rockford and the 7th North Carolina Cavalry along with the 21st Infantry, NC 30th and the NC 28th reenactors invite you to step back in time and experience the life of a civil war soldier at the 3rd Annual Battle in Rockford Reenactment.
This year's event promises entertainment, excitement and surprises for the entire family.
Rockford comes alive with Civil War History as the 7th North Carolina Cavalry rides into Rockford to exhibit battles, tacticals and History of the Civil War. This 2 day event will be ongoing with a campout of the soldiers and their families Saturday night.
All Day Family Event!
Come early and visit the Confederate Camp. Experience life in military camps as it was lived in the 1860's. Watch the soldiers drill and prepare for battle. Stay late and return to the camps after the
battles to visit with the reenactors. Dressed in period clothing, they also eat, sleep and converse in period style. Ask questions! Want to know about their horses? Weapons? Food? Clothing? Lifestyle? Reenactors are walking history lessons and like to share their knowledge of the Civil War era with visitors.
